Bio
Meet Attorney Lisa D'Alesio
My legal career has had a bit of a winding path. Upon graduation from law school, I relocated to the Southwest region of Missouri and began practicing primarily family law (with a little bit of bankruptcy and social security law mixed in); then I took some time off to raise a couple of magnificent children. Eventually, I stepped back into law as a judicial law clerk for the Missouri Court of Appeals in the Southern District. Recently, I transitioned in life by relocating back to the metropolitan Kansas City area to be close to family again. I reached out to a law school colleague, and he pointed me in the direction of another law school colleague, Bud Reynolds and the Reynolds Law Firm. After a little investigation, and an overwhelming number of fellow colleagues in the legal community confirming that Bud was the person to talk to if I wanted to practice family law with a quality firm, I contacted Bud.
I quickly discovered in our conversations that our approach to family law was very similar. Bud’s approach of responding rather than reacting in family law cases is on point as to what needs to be done in family law cases. It is extremely important that our clients need to think through the process rather than react to it. Unfortunately, in most cases, even though the marriage and/or relationship has ended between the parties, they still have to interact with each other because of their children. Responding rather than reacting enables our clients to interact on a more positive basis. Family law does not always require the parties to engage in destructive behavior. In fact, most of the time it is beneficial for the parties to come to some resolution amongst themselves to reduce the destruction of their future familial relationships.
I knew I wanted to work with The Reynolds Law Firm when I discovered how much they believe in providing quality legal work and giving their clients that special one-on-one attention. The Reynolds Law Firm believes in giving each client quality legal advice and helping mentor them through the legal process.
I have always been drawn to family law because I enjoy helping others. Family law gives me the unique opportunity to help families find their way through the complex legal process when many of them are scared, confused and/or unsure as to what to do with the new situations they find themselves in due to their legal matter.
